LESSON PROGRAMS

Spring Canine has many training programs available to help you achieve the goal you have for you and your dog. We offer lesson programs, individual lessons, in home lessons, and in board programs. All of our training programs are for puppies/dog 8 weeks of age and older.

Our lesson programs consist of individual lessons conducted at our facility.

Because we offer individual lessons instead of group classes, we can accomplish much more training in a shorter amount of time. You and your dog do not have to compete with all the distractions of a group class and we can add distractions when your dog is ready for them. This way, your dog will have a much more solid foundation when asked to compete with distractions.

Basic Training Program

Our most popular program is our basic training and manners program. This consists of 6 one-hour lessons, one lesson per week. During this program we can teach your dog the standard obedience exercises using both verbal commands and hand signals. We also teach your dog household manners, problem prevention, and solve common household problems.

Puppy Socialization Class

We offer a no cost socialization class for socialization to other dogs and people. This class allows your puppy to play with other puppies and to get used to being handled by different people. This is drop in type class that is held every Saturday at noon. Space in limited, so please call to reserve your place.

Advanced Training Program

An extension of our basic training program or equivalent. This consists of 6 one-hour lessons, one lesson per week. We work on improving the reliability of the basic training, raising the distraction level your dog can concentrate under, and working toward off leash reliability.

Introductory Training Program

Our starter training program. This consists of 3 one-hour lessons, one lesson per week. We cover standard commands, house manners, problem prevention and solving common household problems to the degree we can in three lessons.

Behavior Modification Program

For more difficult problems such as extreme aggression cases. This consists of 8 one-hour lessons, one lesson per week. This is a flexible program where the content depends on the problems you are having and what we need to do to solve them. This may include in home lessons and public area training as needed.
